High School

Carmelo was born May 29th, 1984 in Brooklyn, New York. Anthony became the number 1 high school basketball player in the country. He started his high school career at Townson Catholic High School in Townson, Maryland.

After commiting to Syracuse University as a junior he transferred to Oak Hill Academy in Virginia to keep his grades good enough to get into college. In his senior year at oak hill Carmelo was raked #1 in the nation.

By the end of the season Oak Hill was ranked #3 in the nation losing to Mater Dei that ended their 67 game win streak. Melo made the USA Today All-USA First Team and was a Parade First-Team All-American.

College

For college he played at Syracuse University during the 2002-03 season. He averaged 22.2 points per game and 10.0 rebounds per game. In his one year at Syracuse he managed to lead them to a National Championship and won the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player.
